Garden 2010

Garden Entrance
This year we expanded our garden to a 30ft by 30ft plot.  I have never had a garden this size and learned a lot.  This area didn't have the best drainage and with all the rain we recieved in June, some (ok, a lot) of our plants drowned.  Needless to say, some areas in the garden will have to have raised beds next year.  I did get some picture pre-rain. It was looking really good for awhile.   Lesson learned, make sure you have good drainage.

This view is looking North.  The veggies that we planted this year included:
corn, potatoes (which rotted in the ground), carrots (which also rotted in the ground), bush beans, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, green peppers, lettuce, jalapenos, onion, and sunflowers (for the chickens).

Here is a view facing south.  The post in the center of the garden has a sprinkler screwed onto it.  All we had to do was set the timer and let it go.
