Chicken Coop

I thought that I would share some pictures of my chicken coop that my dear husband built for me.  We didn't want to get too fancy (or too expensive) so we used whatever we had laying around.  I had picked up an 8ft. tall dog kennel a couple years back at a garage sale for $25.  Other than a few chickens wanting to roost on the top of the fence, I haven't had problems with any getting out, plus it has a gate.  When my parents remodeled their bathroom they gave us some of the old shelving.  It was the perfect size for two nests.  We added a small lip to the edge, attached it to the wall and ta-da!!  DH cut a hole in the original door, and added a hinged door so we could open and close it without a hassle.  Chicken wire was installed as the top part of the interior wall.  I can see in, they can see out, it works great.  We built it in a way that if someone wanted, they could turn it into a tack room instead of using it as a chicken coop.
