A while back, while walking through the halls of a local grade school I notice a poster that a group of 2nd graders had made.  100 things that they were thankful for, and can you guess what was number one?  Toilet paper!  Sometimes I am so busy thanking God for the big things (healthy kids, beautiful weather) that I overlook the endless little things.  So today I am thankful for my clothesline and the simple joy of hanging my clothes on the line, my chickens and the fresh eggs they supply, and my forgetting to carry my camera with me, because then I can actually be a part of that Kodak moment instead of just watching it.  I am, of course, still thankful that my children are happy and healthy, and that I have a hard-working husband who loves us very much.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

  1. I can't wait to hang our laundry out again. Hubby and I have been thinking about getting chickens. I grew up on a farm and long to have one again. Blessings!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I love hearing from my readers.
