Cheap Solar Night Light

My kids have a very serious fear of the dark.  Without a nigh light, NO ONE gets to sleep.  While most people would run out and spend $5 on a plug-in night light, I am thinking about the fact that these are tiny, little energy hogs.  The solution?
I purchased a solar garden light for around $4.  The light part easily pulled out of the stake, so I can set it on a dresser or nightstand.  After being "charged" all day, it should provide about 10 hours (or so the tag says) of light.  Plus, if they need to get up to use the bathroom they can just take the light with them.  The store also had some pretty ones with a mosaic shade instead of just clear plastic.  I think those would work perfect in the bathroom or a guest room.  It seems another trip to the store is in order.

  1. I LOVE that idea!

  2. great idea for the nightlight! mY daughters were the same way...needed something to dispell the dark.
