Wood Burning Cook Stove

While we have been waiting for the short sale to be approved, I didn't just sit and twiddle my thumbs.  I found this....

Isn't she beautiful?  This is the Flame View Wood Burning Cook Stove.  Amish made, heats up 1500 sq. ft., side door to view the flames while not skimping on oven space.  I have been reading reviews till my head spun, and this one consistently came out on top.  What really sold me was the 20 gallon water reservoir.  In the winter we can use this to heat our home, cook, and have hot water.  Plus did I mention that it's beautiful?

Update:  We did end up purchasing this stove.  To read more about our wood stove adventures please click on the Wood Cook Stove link in the orange box on the left.

  1. Oh maan, I don't know if my message went through. Sometimes I let my fingers do the walkin' they go too fast and hit too many keys :/

Oh well, if it didn't go through the first time.. here it is again.

It really is a BEAUTY. Did you buy one yet? How cool is that and a water resevoir too! I'm gonna go look it up cause I'm just too curious about stuff. You did good!

  2. It IS a beauty! My girlfriend has this one in black. It is a great stove. I think you will be pleased with it. We have the Ashland in white. It is a more plain stove, but we really like it. (We have the water res. too). It actually provides more heat than we need in the winter for our home in TN...sometimes we open doors when its on! We're Ok with that though. :-)

  3. Hi, I have a Flameview Wood cook stove and bought it from Stoves'n More.
We love it. I've written a few pages about cooking on it, etc.
If you're interested, I can send them.
It's definitely been a learning process!
It's the best purchase we've ever made, and we've wished we did it earlier.

  4. I am new to cooking on a wood stove/oven. I am very interested in purchasing one of these stoves but nervous I won't be able to learn to use the oven. Please let me know if you have had success in learning to use your new cook stove.
