New Tractor

We're farmin' now!

Nathan brought home our new farm toy today.  A 1971 International tractor.  Since we bought the cow, we have been looking for a tractor so we can feed round bales and cut and bale our own hay.  It seemed like finding a reliable tractor that had enough horse power and a loader was going to cost more than we were comfortable spending.  We had even started looking several states away because we were having such a hard time finding anything.  I have been praying about this, because well, the only thing we could do was put the matter in God's hands.  One evening Nathan found this advertised on Craigslist.  This baby has everything that we were wanting, plus good tires!  As an added bonus it was well within our price range and located only 25 miles away.
God is so Good!

  1. Gotta love Craig's List, been trying not to look at it, I find too many things I "THINK" I need. Good Score on the tractor it looks well cared for, and will sure come in handy doing chores.

  3. Hi Christina,

My husband and I have a dream of living in the Midwest (farther West than we currently are, Ohio) on a farm with several acres But we don't know where to begin. We aren't millionaires with a huge savings account but we do have a dream. So, looking for advice from a fellow christian, Have you always lived in the country and how did you go about the very beginnings of your homestead?

    Blessings,

P.S. I stumbled upon your blog while searching Pinterest (that's a whole other topic) for roost ideas for our chickens!
