I came across this link and I HAVE to share it.
This is an online copy of a book written in 1918 about preserving food. While some of it is outdated, it is still very interesting to peruse through. I especially like the pictures, very vintage.
It makes me think of how far we have come, and what we might be doing now that will be deemed "unsafe" in the future.
