Winter Cheese

     Our local grocery has the best deal on milk right now... $.99 a gallon for whole milk.  Since it's not ultra-pasteurized I'm going to stock up to make some cheese for this winter.

     Now I've never made hard cheese before, so I figure that it's better to experiment on cheap 99 cent milk than my precious raw milk.  I bought 4 gallons, but I just might go back and get more.  You can freeze it for up to a month for some cheeses. I might as well go big right?  I can't possibly see anything going wrong here.

Cheese making story to come.... it should at least be entertaining.
