Soup in a Jar
In a pint jar, layer:
beef bullion or beef powder (enough to make 6 cups of broth)
1/2 cup Quick cooking barley
1/3 cup dried onion
1/3 cup dried onion
1/3 cup freeze dried celery
1/2 tsp. garlic granules
dried mushrooms (fill to the top)
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
Instructions: Add contents of jar to 6 six cups water. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Makes about 7 cups.
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
Flower Dish Scrubbie
This is my first flower dish cloth. I have a pile of square ones that would make nice gifts, but I really like the look of this.

ReplyDeleteI think I could make that dishcloth. Can you share the pattern? Of course, I would rather fairies make it for me since cataracts and sore fingers, both age-related, make crocheting hard to do.
