Spring Mantel

So I guess that this year we are going to skip spring and go straight from winter to summer.  Whatever, I'm numb from the cold so I can't feel the temperature anyway.

Despite the ground being covered with snow, I'm going to pretend that it's 70 and sunny out.  A fresh spring mantel really helps.

I hit up Hobby Lobby during a 50% off sale and bought scrap book paper, a cardboard H, and a garland.  Everything else I already had.

Total cost for the floral H, $2.50.

Total for the garland, $9.00.

I also made the burlap pot from an old glass jar and some burlap and twine I had hiding in a closet.

I would like to make a burlap banner to hang from the mantel.

Maybe something like this...

I just have to find the time.  I have been moving rocks into the garden to create a path, spring cleaning like a mad woman, and I started a new part time job.

This summer is going to be a busy one and I can't wait!
